   printed to be committed to the Committee on Housing, Construction  and

 AN ACT to amend the public housing law, in relation to allowing prospec-
   tive  tenants  of  rent controlled or rent stabilized housing accommo-
   dations to request the complete rent history of such housing  accommo-
   dations
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Section 14 of the public housing law is amended by adding a
 new subdivision 8 to read as follows:
   8. THE AGENCY SHALL PROMULGATE REGULATIONS, RULES AND  POLICIES  WHICH
 PROVIDE  FOR  THE  ABILITY OF A PROSPECTIVE TENANT OF RENT CONTROLLED OR
 RENT STABILIZED HOUSING ACCOMMODATION PROTECTED BY THE EMERGENCY  TENANT
 PROTECTION  ACT  OF  NINETEEN  SEVENTY-FOUR,  THE EMERGENCY HOUSING RENT
 CONTROL LAW, THE LOCAL EMERGENCY HOUSING RENT CONTROL ACT, THE  ADMINIS-
 TRATIVE  CODE  OF  THE  CITY  OF NEW YORK AND ANY REGULATIONS, RULES AND
 POLICIES ENACTED PURSUANT THERETO, TO REQUEST AND RECEIVE A COPY OF  THE
 COMPLETE RENT HISTORY OF SUCH RENT CONTROLLED OR RENT STABILIZED HOUSING
 ACCOMMODATION.  SUCH  RENT  HISTORIES SHALL AT A MINIMUM INCLUDE RECORDS
 BACK TO THE YEAR NINETEEN HUNDRED SEVENTY-FOUR.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.

 AN ACT to amend the public housing law, in relation to allowing prospec-
   tive tenants of rent controlled or rent  stabilized  housing  accommo-
   dations  to request the complete rent history of such housing accommo-
   dations
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Section 14 of the public housing law is amended by adding a
 new subdivision 8 to read as follows:

 WHO HAS MADE A GOOD FAITH DEPOSIT WITH THE INTENTION  TO  ENTER  INTO  A
 LEASE  FOR  A  RENT  CONTROLLED OR RENT STABILIZED HOUSING ACCOMMODATION
 PROTECTED BY THE EMERGENCY TENANT PROTECTION ACT  OF  NINETEEN  SEVENTY-
 FOUR,  THE EMERGENCY HOUSING RENT CONTROL LAW, THE LOCAL EMERGENCY HOUS-
 ING RENT CONTROL ACT, THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE OF THE CITY  OF  NEW  YORK
 AND  ANY  REGULATIONS,  RULES  AND POLICIES ENACTED PURSUANT THERETO, TO
 REQUEST AND RECEIVE A COPY OF THE COMPLETE RENT  HISTORY  OF  SUCH  RENT
 CONTROLLED OR RENT STABILIZED HOUSING ACCOMMODATION. SUCH RENT HISTORIES
 SHALL  AT  A  MINIMUM  INCLUDE RECORDS BACK TO THE YEAR NINETEEN HUNDRED
 SEVENTY-FOUR.
