BILL NUMBER: S3533 SPONSOR: MAY TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend chapter 62 of the laws of 2003, amending the public service law relating to establishing the New York telecommunications relay service center, in relation to extending certain provisions of such center PURPOSE: This will extend the provisions of law establishing the New York tele- communications relay service center until June 30, 2027. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section One - Section 1 - Amends section 4 of part H1 of Chapter 62 of the laws of 2003, amending the public service law relating to establish- ing the New York telecommunications relay service center, as amended by Chapter 149 of the laws of 2012, Chapter 291 of 2017 and Chapter 58 of 2020.

MAY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Energy and Telecommuni- cations AN ACT to amend chapter 62 of the laws of 2003, amending the public service law relating to establishing the New York telecommunications relay service center, in relation to extending certain provisions of such center THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 4 of part H1 of chapter 62 of the laws of 2003, amending the public service law relating to establishing the New York telecommunications relay service center, as amended by section 1 of item Y of subpart B of part XXX of chapter 58 of the laws of 2020, is amended to read as follows: § 4. This act shall take effect on April 1, 2003, provided, however, if this act shall become a law after such date it shall take effect immediately and shall be deemed to have been in full force and effect on and after April 1, 2003, provided, further, that section three of this act shall expire on June 30, [2024] 2027. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD00912-01-3
