BILL NUMBER: S6678 SPONSOR: ROLISON TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the general municipal law, in relation to permitting the town of Putnam Valley, Putnam county, to lease sport field fences for advertisements PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL: Permits the town of Putnam Valley to lease sports field fences for advertisements. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section 1: Sports field fence leases in the town of Putnam Valley, Putnam county. Notwithstanding any provision of any general, special or local law or of any charter to the contrary, the town of Putnam Valley, Putnam county, may lease municipal sports field fences, annually, at a nominal rent, to a not-for-profit corporation or organization, organized under the laws of the state of New York for the purpose of permitting

ROLISON -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Local Government AN ACT to amend the general municipal law, in relation to permitting the town of Putnam Valley, Putnam county, to lease sport field fences for advertisements THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The general municipal law is amended by adding a new section 77-j to read as follows: § 77-J. SPORTS FIELD FENCE LEASES IN THE TOWN OF PUTNAM VALLEY, PUTNAM COUNTY. NOTWITHSTANDING ANY PROVISION OF ANY GENERAL, SPECIAL OR LOCAL LAW OR OF ANY CHARTER TO THE CONTRARY, THE TOWN OF PUTNAM VALLEY, PUTNAM COUNTY, MAY LEASE MUNICIPAL SPORTS FIELD FENCES, ANNUALLY, AT A NOMINAL RENT, TO A NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION OR ORGANIZATION, ORGANIZED UNDER THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK FOR THE PURPOSE OF PERMITTING THE SALE OF ADVERTISING, WITH THE REVENUES TO BE USED SOLELY BY SUCH TOWN'S DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION. § 2.
