   printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules
 
 AN ACT to amend a chapter of the laws of 2023 amending the education law
   and the public health law relating to the dispensing of  self-adminis-
   tered  hormonal  contraceptives,  as  proposed  in  legislative  bills
   numbers S.  1043-A and A. 1060-A, in  relation  to  the  effectiveness
   thereof
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1.  Section 6 of a chapter of the laws of  2023  amending  the
 education  law  and  the public health law relating to the dispensing of
 self-administered hormonal contraceptives, as  proposed  in  legislative
 bills numbers S. 1043-A and A. 1060-A, is amended to read as follows:
   §  6.  This act shall take effect [eighteen months after it shall have
 become a law] JANUARY 1, 2024.   Effective  immediately,  the  addition,
 amendment  and/or  repeal  of  any  rule or regulation necessary for the
 implementation of this act on its effective date are  authorized  to  be
 made and completed on or before such effective date.
   § 2.  This act shall take effect immediately.
