 AN ACT to amend chapter 397 of the laws of 1996, relating to authorizing
   the town of Islip to lease certain lands to a business corporation, in
   relation to the lease term

   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  Section 1 of chapter 397 of the laws of 1996, relating to
 authorizing the town of Islip to  lease  certain  lands  to  a  business
 corporation,  is  amended  by  adding a new subdivision (a-1) to read as
 follows:
   (A-1) THE TOWN OF ISLIP, IN THE COUNTY OF SUFFOLK, IS  HEREBY  AUTHOR-
 IZED AND EMPOWERED TO EXTEND THE TERMS OF A LEASE BETWEEN THE TOWN AND A
 BUSINESS CORPORATION DATED JULY 30, 1996 THAT WAS AUTHORIZED BY THIS ACT
 ON  THE  LANDS  DESCRIBED IN THIS ACT FOR UP TO TEN YEARS IN ADDITION TO
 THE TEN-YEAR EXTENSION AUTHORIZED UNDER SUBDIVISION (A) OF THIS SECTION.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
