KASSAY -- read once and referred to the Committee on Governmental Employees AN ACT to amend the civil service law, in relation to requiring the department of civil service to allow municipalities to post municipal employment positions on the department of civil service's state jobs website THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 59-d of the civil service law, as amended by chap- ter 521 of the laws of 2023, is amended to read as follows: § 59-d. Public posting of employment opportunities. 1. The department shall make publicly available on its website all employment opportu- nities in the civil service of the state and information on obtaining employment with the state, including, but not limited to, vacancies in the competitive, non-competitive and labor jurisdictional classes, announcements for upcoming open-competitive and promotional examina- tions, test application instructions, and designations of which employ- ment opportunities are eligible to be filled by individuals with disa- bilities and veterans with disabilities, including whether such positions may be filled on a full-time or part-time basis, pursuant to section fifty-five-b and section fifty-five-c, as amended by a chapter of the laws of two thousand twenty-three, of this title. 2. THE DEPARTMENT SHALL PROVIDE MUNICIPALITIES IN THE STATE WITH THE ABILITY TO POST MUNICIPAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES ON THE SAME WEBSITE OF THE DEPARTMENT UNDER WHICH STATE CIVIL SERVICE POSITIONS ARE POSTED PURSUANT TO SUBDIVISION ONE OF THIS SECTION, INCLUDING ALL OTHER RELE- VANT INFORMATION AS DESCRIBED UNDER SUBDIVISION ONE OF THIS SECTION. SUCH MUNICIPAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES SHALL BE POSTED IN A FORMAT WHERE JOB SEEKERS MAY SEARCH BY MUNICIPALITY AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYMENT POSITION TYPE.
