 AN  ACT  in relation to authorizing Nicole Longo to take the competitive
   civil service examination for the position of police sergeant  and  be
   placed  on  the  eligible  list  for  employment as a full-time police
   sergeant for the village of Bronxville

   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  Notwithstanding  any  service  requirement  or  any other
 provision of law, rule, or regulation to the contrary, Nicole Longo, who
 is a resident of the village of Bronxville, in the County  of  Westches-
 ter, shall be eligible to take the competitive civil service examination
 for  the  position  of  police  sergeant, and shall, contingent upon her
 score on such examination, be eligible to be placed on the eligible list
 for appointment as a  full-time  police  sergeant  with  the  Bronxville
 police department in the village of Bronxville, County of Westchester.
   §  2. Nicole Longo shall otherwise be subject to the merit and fitness
 provisions of the civil  service  law  applicable  to  full-time  police
 sergeants.
   § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
