S T A T E O F N E W Y O R K ________________________________________________________________________ 8829 2025-2026 Regular Sessions I N A S S E M B L Y June 9, 2025 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. TAPIA -- read once and referred to the Committee on Corporations, Authorities and Commissions AN ACT directing the metropolitan transportation authority to rename the Burnside subway station the Burnside-Bronx Community College subway station; and providing for the repeal of such provisions upon expira- tion thereof THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Burnside subway station on the IRT Jerome Avenue line of the New York city subway is hereby named the Burnside-Bronx Community College subway station. The MTA shall ensure that all signs, maps, and any other items issued by the MTA are updated to accurately reflect the new name of such station within such time and in such manner as the MTA shall deem appropriate. ยง 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall expire and be deemed repealed after the signs and any other items are accurately updated.
