 AN ACT to amend the public health law,  in  relation  to  directing  the
   department  of  health  to establish and maintain a menopause informa-
   tional and resource webpage on the department website

   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Section 266 of the public health law is amended by adding a
 new subdivision 7 to read as follows:
   7.  MENOPAUSE. IN ACCORDANCE WITH THIS SECTION, THE COMMISSIONER SHALL
 ESTABLISH INFORMATIONAL MATERIALS  AND  RESOURCES,  NO  LATER  THAN  ONE
 HUNDRED  EIGHTY DAYS AFTER THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS SUBDIVISION, WHICH
 SHALL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO: (A)  STAGES  OF  MENOPAUSE;  WHICH
 INCLUDE  PERIMENOPAUSE,  MENOPAUSE, AND POSTMENOPAUSE; (B) TREATMENT AND
 MANAGEMENT CARE FOR PERIMENOPAUSE, MENOPAUSE AND POSTMENOPAUSE; AND  (C)
 SYMPTOMS AND PHYSICAL COMPLICATIONS ASSOCIATED WITH PERIMENOPAUSE, MENO-
 PAUSE OR POSTMENOPAUSE.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
