 Introduced  by  Sen.  RIVERA -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Investigations and Govern-
   ment Operations
 
 AN ACT in relation to authorizing the commissioner of  general  services
   provide   compensation  to  Catholic  Guardian  Services  for  certain
   expenses in connection with  holding  property  for  the  purposes  of
   providing housing and shelter for homeless, destitute, refugee, delin-
   quent and/or disabled persons in New York city
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. The commissioner  of  general  services  in  the  executive
 department is hereby authorized to compensate Catholic Guardian Services
 for  fair  and equitable holding expenses, as determined by said commis-
 sioner, associated with property located at 2322 Valentine Avenue, coun-
 ty of the Bronx and further described in section 2 of chapter 243 of the
 laws of 2004 which was conveyed to Catholic Home Bureau for the purposes
 of providing housing  and  shelter  for  homeless,  destitute,  refugee,
 delinquent  and/or  disabled  persons  in New York city, and which shall
 revert to the state of New York pursuant to section 5  of  such  chapter
 upon the termination of such use and the property shall be conveyed from
 Catholic Guardian Services to the state of New York.
   ยง 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
