   printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules
 
 AN ACT in relation to a feasibility study and report  on  the  potential
   reestablishment of the empire state summer games
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. (a) The commissioner  of  parks,  recreation  and  historic
 preservation,  in  conjunction  with the department of economic develop-
 ment, shall conduct a feasibility study and  prepare  a  report  on  the
 potential  reestablishment  of the empire state summer games. Such study
 shall explore the overall  costs  of  reestablishing  the  empire  state
 summer  games,  as  well  as costs associated with the marketing of such
 games through the department of economic development. Such  study  shall
 also  explore  the  potential revenue generated by hosting and marketing
 the empire state summer games.
   (b) On or before December 31, 2026, the commissioner of parks,  recre-
 ation  and historic preservation and the department of economic develop-
 ment shall issue a report of the findings of the  feasibility  study  to
 the  governor, the temporary president of the senate, and the speaker of
 the assembly.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
