 Introduced  by Sen. MARTINEZ -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules
 
 AN ACT to amend chapter 670 of the laws of 2022 amending the real  prop-
   erty  tax  law  relating  to  providing all local governments with the
   option to provide a property tax exemption to  volunteer  firefighters
   and  volunteer  ambulance  workers,  in  relation to the effectiveness
   thereof
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  Section 3 of chapter 670 of the laws of 2022 amending the
 real property tax law relating to providing all local  governments  with
 the option to provide a property tax exemption to volunteer firefighters
 and volunteer ambulance workers is amended to read as follows:
   §  3.  This act shall take effect immediately; provided, however, that
 section two of this act shall take effect [three] SIX  years  after  the
 effective date of this act.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
