 AN ACT to amend a chapter of the laws of 2025 amending the civil service
   law relating to requiring the department of  civil  service  to  allow
   municipalities  to  post municipal employment positions on the depart-
   ment of civil service's state jobs website, as proposed in legislative
   bills numbers S. 7237-A and A. 8023-A, in relation to  the  effective-
   ness thereof
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Section 2 of a chapter of the laws  of  2025  amending  the
 civil  service law relating to requiring the department of civil service
 to allow municipalities to post municipal employment  positions  on  the
 department  of civil service's state jobs website, as proposed in legis-
 lative bills numbers S. 7237-A and A. 8023-A,  is  amended  to  read  as
 follows:
   §  2.  This  act  shall take effect [immediately] DECEMBER 31, 2027 OR
 THIRTY DAYS AFTER THE COMMISSIONER OF CIVIL SERVICE CERTIFIES  THAT  THE
 DEPARTMENT'S  WEBSITE  IS  ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE THE AMENDMENTS TO SECTION
 59-D OF THE CIVIL SERVICE LAW MADE BY SECTION ONE OF THIS ACT, WHICHEVER
 OCCURS EARLIER;  PROVIDED,  HOWEVER,  THAT  THE  COMMISSIONER  OF  CIVIL
 SERVICE SHALL NOTIFY THE LEGISLATIVE BILL DRAFTING COMMISSION UPON ISSU-
 ING  THEIR  CERTIFICATION  IN  ORDER THAT THE COMMISSION MAY MAINTAIN AN
 ACCURATE AND TIMELY EFFECTIVE DATA BASE OF THE OFFICIAL TEXT OF THE LAWS
 OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK IN FURTHERANCE OF EFFECTUATING  THE  PROVISIONS
 OF  SECTION  44  OF  THE  LEGISLATIVE LAW AND SECTION 70-B OF THE PUBLIC
 OFFICERS LAW.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
