AN ACT to amend chapter 389 of the laws of 2024 amending the environ-
mental conservation law relating to authorizing hunting big game by
rifle in the county of Niagara, in relation to the effectiveness ther-
eof
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 5 of chapter 389 of the laws of 2024 amending the
environmental conservation law relating to authorizing hunting big game
by rifle in the county of Niagara, is amended to read as follows:
§ 5. This act shall take effect immediately; provided, however, that:
a. the amendments to paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907
of the environmental conservation law made by section one of this act
shall be subject to the expiration and reversion of such paragraph
pursuant to section 13 of chapter 600 of the laws of 1993, as amended;
b. the amendments to item (f) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of
section 11-0907 of the environmental conservation law made by section
two of this act shall be subject to the expiration and reversion of such
item pursuant to paragraph d of section 5 of chapter 152 of the laws of
2020, as amended;
c. sections three and four of this act shall take effect upon the
expiration and reversion of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section
11-0907 of the environmental conservation law, as provided in section 13
of chapter 600 of the laws of 1993, as amended; and
d. nothing contained in this act shall be construed so as to extend
the provisions of this act beyond October 1, [2026] 2028, when upon such
date this act shall expire and the provisions contained herein shall be
deemed repealed.
§ 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
