Senator Jack M. Martins attended a special ceremony at the Nassau County Legislature for members of the Indian-American community. Senator Martins presented a Senate Proclamation in honor of Brahmrishi Shri Kumar Swami Ji, who is one of the most renowned and
revered spiritual leaders of India with 310 million followers around the world. Senator Martins proclaimed April 29, 2011 as "Brahmrishi Shri Kumar Swami Day" in State of New York.
