Senator Martins, Mayor Strauss Receive Update on Jericho Turnpike Project

Senator Jack M. Martins and Village of Mineola Mayor Scott Strauss were on Jericho Turnpike recently to receive an update on the progress being made on the Jericho Turnpike project.
The project involves the repaving of Jericho Turnpike from the city line through to Glen Cove Road as well as safety improvements. Originally, the project was supposed to end before the Village of Mineola. However, Senator Martins and Mayor Strauss were able to get the project extended through to Glen Cove Road so that it will encompass Jericho Turnpike in Mineola.
Currently, there is sidewalk preparation work underway It is estimated the project will be completed by the end of next year.
