
Senator Martins Honored to Receive "Pride" Pin from Weber Middle School in Port Washington

Senator Jack M. Martins was at the Weber Middle School in Port Washington for his pizza and politics program. Senator Martins discussed issues in government with sixth grade students. The senator and the students also discussed their entries into Senator Martins' Thanksgiving Essay Contest. The main theme of the essays was giving thanks after Superstorm Sandy hit our region.
At the end of the visit, Principal Marilyn Rodahan presented Senator Martins with the school's "Pride" pin for making the students feel special. The senator was honored to received this distinction from such a wonderful school.
