(Dobbs Ferry - June 13th) Dobbs Ferry has done a terrific job of revitalizing its Hudson riverfront. On June 13th, Senator Stewart-Cousins attended the official dedication following several years of work. The Senator supported the village's request for $2.3 million of state funding that helped make the project a reality. The park is a wonderful example of a public/private partnership as well, given that Westchester County added $2 million and a local couple, Arch and Marie McKellar, also contributed one million dollars. There is improved access to the majestic Hudson with a boat launch for kayaking, canoeing and fishing. Children and families will enjoy playgrounds and picnic areas. A great place to spend some time this summer.
