To kick-off the back-to-school season, Senator Comrie partnered with his colleagues in government to distribute free backpacks to the community's youth. Nearly one thousand backpacks were distributed to youth from elementary through high school. A special thank you goes out to all who contributed to the event, including but not limited to: NYC Parks, Jam Master Jay Foundation for Youth, Fidelis Care, New Order of Solutions, the Laurelton Community Library, Applebees, Green Acres Mall and various neighborhood block associations.
