Yonkers, NY - The New York Power Authority has brought $400,000 in wind- and solar-powered renewable lighting to the The City of Yonkers at the JFK Marina, as well as hybrid city cars and electric charging stations.The park is one of the first in the country to operate completely with renewable energy.
We have a real opportunity to serve as an example to the rest of the nation by taking the lead in investing in a green economy. These are cutting-edge technologies in a booming new industry, and through initiatives like this, we can take real, meaningful action toward cutting carbon emissions and creating thousands of new, innovative green jobs.
