Each year, hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers are brought to housing court by their landlords. Whether it’s over rent or any other issue, facing the risk of eviction can be terrifying and overwhelming. On March 3, I partnered with Mobilization for Justice to educate 60+ tenants on what to do if your landlord brings you to housing court, as well as other resources to prevent eviction and retain access to stable housing. This presentation was the first of a series of presentations that will address different facets of tenants’ rights and housing issues. Check out the slides here for more information.
