STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Thousands of College of Staten Island (CSI) students gathered in black caps and gowns Wednesday as they proudly walked the campus’ Great Lawn for their graduation ceremony.

The school’s 76th commencement ceremony honored the Class of 2025 and its 2,166 graduates, comprising both undergraduates and those who pursued master’s and doctoral degrees.

State Sen. Jessica Scarcella-Spanton, a Democrat representing Staten Island’s North Shore and parts of South Brooklyn (23rd Senate District), also shared congratulatory remarks virtually during the ceremony.  “Earning a college degree is no small feat. It reflects your hard work, dedication and perseverance. Every step of your journey has shaped the person you are today, preparing you to close this chapter and move forward,” said Scarcella-Spanton.
