
Mayer secures $125,000 for equipment for Port Chester-Rye/Rye Brook EMS

PORT CHESTER- Senator Shelley Mayer joined the Port Chester-Rye/Rye Brook EMS to announce the purchase of critical equipment, made possible by $125,000 in state funding.
Through the grant, Port Chester-Rye-Rye Brook EMS was able to purchase a power stretcher system, an Xpedition Stairchair, a CPR machine, a cardiac monitor, a portable suction unit, a scoop stretcher, and traction splints.
“I am pleased to have assisted Port Chester-Rye/Rye Brook EMS with a state grant to help them purchase life-saving equipment,” said Mayer (D, Westchester County). “By expanding their resources and equipment, Port Chester-Rye-Rye Brook EMS will be better equipped to serve our community and address the needs of individuals with varying abilities, keeping more neighbors safe. I would like to thank Chief Barton and the entire Port Chester-Rye-Rye Brook EMS team for their dedication to community safety.”
Port Chester-Rye-Rye Brook Chief Kenny Barton thanked Senator Mayer for her “advocacy for our service and the EMS community as a whole.”
