(Albany, NY) - Senator Serrano joined colleagues and advocates at a very important press conference demanding fairer wages for our fast food workers.
"Governor Cuomo took historic action by convening a wage board to determine the minimum wage for our struggling fast food workers," said Senator Serrano. "This action also served as a major boost for our ongoing fight for $15 an hour for the thousands of hard working New Yorkers across our state. Fairer wages can lift so many working families out of poverty, and I encourage the newly impaneled wage board to consider economic benefits not just for the workers, but for the communities they call home."
