Senator Jack M. Martins met with Catholic school students from throughout the 7th Senate District. Students from Floral Park, Westbury, Manhasset, Mineola, New Hyde Park, Franklin Square, Elmont and East Williston discussed education issues with the Senator during "Catholic Conference Day" in Albany. Thousands of students from throughout Long Island, and New York State, met with Senators and Assemblymembers during the annual conference. "It was an honor to sit with our next generation of leaders and share ideas on education and leadership during these very challenging economic times," said Senator Martins. "I salute all of these young women for getting involved, caring and making a difference. During our discussion, we talked about current events, funding for schools and important quality of life issues that impact all of our communities. I was very pleased to hear about their personal involvement in many worthwhile causes that will have a positive impact on our greater community. "
