Senator Jack M. Martins continued his listening tour by meeting with local veterans with Nassau County's American Legion in his office at the State Capitol. The listening tour has hosted hundreds of constituents from all areas of his district in an effort to hear the concerns and challenges that people face in these challenging economic times for the state and country. Members of the Nassau County American Legion, led by former Elmont American Legion Commander Bill Ost met with Senator Martins and discussed pending veteran's legislation being reviewed in the State Senate. "Every time I meet with our local Veterans they inspire me," said Senator Martins. "These men and women are constantly giving back to our communities and are oustanding advocates for the brave men and women who are serving our country now. I know I speak for everyone when I say, we can't thank them enough for their service and always being their when our country and community needs them."
