Bronx Dominican Parade
José M. Serrano
July 24, 2011
Today, Senator Serrano joined his father, Congressman Jose E. Serrano, for the Bronx Dominican Parade. The parade has become a yearly tradition in the Bronx and is a lively celebration of Dominican Heritage that makes its way down the Grand Concourse each year.
“It is such a pleasure to be a part of this wonderful celebration,” said Senator Serrano. "There are now more Dominicans in the Bronx than in Washington Heights, and it is so delightful to march down the concourse with my Dominican constituents, and to see everyone come together to celebrate the rich and vibrant Dominican culture.”
