Statement From NYS Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. on Shut-Down at St. Saviour’s Site

June 14, 2011
Queens, NY, June 14, 2011 – NYS Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr., released the following statement on the shut-down at the St. Saviour’s site:
My office staff in the Middle Village District Office had contacted the NYC Department of Buildings in May 2011. We believe if there is a stop-work order dating back to 2009, it should be enforced and there should be no further excavation or work done on this site. I urge that any zoning irregularities must be reviewed by the Department of Buildings immediately and must comply with existing regulations. I look forward to continuing my efforts to work with the constituents interested in this issue and the appropriate City agencies.
