Senator Jack M. Martins (R-7th Senate District), together with Governor Andrew Cuomo, Assemblyman Ed Ra, and Legislator Laura Schaefer, recently sponsored a Citizen Preparedness Training Program in Carle Place.
The program informed residents about how to best prepare for emergencies and disasters, respond accordingly, and recover as quickly as possible to pre-disaster conditions. Residents learned how to develop a family emergency plan, stock up on emergency supplies, and register for NY-Alert, the free statewide emergency alert system.
