Senator Jack M. Martins (R-7th Senate District) recently helped celebrate the United Methodist Church of Floral Park’s 125th anniversary.
Founded in 1890, the United Methodist Church of Floral Park was the first church founded in Floral Park. It has been serving Floral Park as a community and family-oriented church ever since.
Senator Martins presented Pastor Gainus Sikes with a legislative resolution he sponsored, which was passed by the Senate, commemorating the milestone anniversary. With passage of the resolutions, the church’s 125 years of community service will forever be part of the New York State Senate’s official record.
