Albany, NY-New York State Senator Michael Venditto (R, C, I- Massapequa), announced today that he has been selected to Chair the Senate Standing Committee on Consumer Protection.

“It’s an honor to be appointed to chair the Senate Committee on Consumer Protection. As Chairman this will give me a unique opportunity to be forceful advocate for not only the rights of consumers in the 8th Senate District, but all of New York,” said Senator Venditto.

“In this ever-changing economical climate, our committee will work hard to deliver real results to consumers, especially those consumers and constituents throughout the 8th Senate District and the Long Island- Metro region who are still rebuilding from Super-Storm Sandy,” continued Senator Venditto.
