“I applaud the election of Betty Rosa as the new Chancellor for the State Board of Regents. Dr. Rosa has a distinguished career of serving New York students and ensuring that our most vulnerable children have access to essential education services. Dr. Rosa was a leading voice in addressing the wide spread concerns related to the implementation of the Common Core standards, and I commend her for those efforts. I look forward to working with Dr. Rosa to improve the quality of our state’s public schools and to guarantee that every New York student receives the top-notch education they deserve.”
