Senator Serrano joined Assemblymember Robert Rodriguez and his team for their annual Senior Summit for the East Harlem community. Senator Serrano was proud to help the Assemblymember kick off the annual event by giving opening remarks which highlighted their partnership to help the East Harlem community. Senator Serrano's office also participated in the program by hosting an information table about their off-site constituent hours at local senior centers in East Harlem and the services available for seniors through state agencies.
This robust summit, which was held this year at the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, always brings together a wide host of agencies and nonprofit organizations to provides seniors in the community with valuable resources and information about important services. The Department of Aging, Department of Finance, CERT, and the Manhattan DA's Office were all in attendance to provide beneficial workshops on topics that affect seniors the most.
"It was a pleasure to join my friend and East Harlem colleague Assemblymember Robert J. Rodriguez at his 6th annual Senior Summit! This event was a great opportunity for our local senior citizens to hear from our elected leaders as well as connect with many of the services and programs they need. Many thanks to Assemblyman Rodriguez and his staff for putting together this very important event."
