Ritchie Hears From Agriculture Leaders During '2018 Farm Bill Listening Tour'

State Senator Patty Ritchie, Chair of the Senate Agriculture Committee, recently took part in the Department of Agriculture and Market’s 2018 Farm Bill Listening Tour.
During the event, Senator Ritchie—along with Department of Agriculture and Markets Commissioner Richard Ball, Assemblyman William Magee, who serves as Chair of the Assembly Agriculture Committee, Samuel Roberts, Commissioner for the State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance and New York State Farm Bureau President Dave Fisher—heard from agriculture leaders about their priorities for the 2018 federal Farm Bill.
Agriculture leaders at the event included representatives from Cornell Cooperative Extension, the Food Bank of Central New York, Farm Credit East and Future Farmers of America, among others.
