“Twelve lives were brutally cut short because of a madman with a gun. My heart aches for the victims from the Thousand Oaks shooting and for the families and loved ones who are grieving because of this tragedy. Thoughts and prayers will not address the scourge of gun violence, we must take action and show leadership. The Senate Democrats have pushed for common sense gun safety legislation and we will ensure that New Yorkers are protected from dangerous individuals and weapons of war.”
