Senator James Sanders Jr. Has Two of His MWBE Bills Signed Into Law By the Governor

Senator James Sanders Jr. is proud to have had two of his MWBE bills signed into law today by Governor Hochul.
Senator Sanders said: "These bills signed by the Governor will promote and strengthen Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprises by increasing opportunities for them to grow. As we transition into a post-COVID era, the New York economy will greatly benefit by robust MWBEs contributing to job creation and economic growth."
S.571 - Allows businesses to use funds received from the minority and women-owned business development and lending program for the purpose of refinancing existing debt
S.9351 - Increases the dollar threshold for purchases from businesses certified as minority or women-owned that can be made without a formal competitive process
