June 6, 2022
“Today marks the 78th anniversary of D-Day, when over 160,000 Allied soldiers landed on the beaches of Normandy, France in what would be a pivotal battle in World War II. On this day we remember the men — some of them just 18 years old — who stormed the beaches to help the fight for freedom against the Nazi forces, as well as those who laid down their lives during the invasion to ensure an Allied victory. This incredible battle shaped the future of the world and the sacrifice of the soldiers on that day shall not be forgotten.”
