“Downstate transit fueled by upstate manufacturing—that’s what this MTA investment is all about. The MTA’s commitment to companies like BAE Systems in Endicott and New Flyer in Jamestown showcases an increasingly strong bond between companies upstate and projects in New York City, especially coming off the heels of their recent rail car investment earlier this year. I am grateful for Governor Kathy Hochul and MTA Chairman Janno Lieber for their leadership in keeping business in New York State. This investment will continue to support over 1000 jobs and improve transportation outcomes for all New Yorkers.”
