Addabbo and NHSQ Help Constituents Resolve Property Tax Liens
March 11, 2025

Raiza Martinez of NHSQ provides tax lien assistance to a constituent at Senator Addabbo's Office.
Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. joined Neighborhood Housing Services of Queens (NHSQ) to provide one-on-one help to homeowners who have fallen behind on their property taxes, water, sewer, or other municipal property-related charges, and may be at risk for being included in a lien sale. New York City is reinstating the tax lien sale, scheduled for this upcoming May.
The help event took place at Addabbo’s District Office in Woodhaven on March 4, 2025. Representatives from Neighborhood Housing Services of Queens (NHSQ), Raiza Martinez, Homeowner Services Manager, and Isaac Blanco, Community Outreach Specialist provided one-on-one care to constituents who live in Senator Addabbo’s District and have called his office in advance and made an appointment.
"I believe that every resident deserves the opportunity to understand and resolve their property tax issues,” Addabbo said. “I am committed to providing personalized expert assistance, ensuring that no one faces these challenges alone. I would like to thank Neighborhood Housing Services of Queens for joining me in this worthy effort.”
