Working with The Woodhaven Mural Project, led by Neil Gianelli, and Jennifer Lambert, Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. brought together the Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO) and FDNY (Engine 294, Ladder 143) to kick off the Mural at Myrtle Avenue between Woodhaven Boulevard and Freedom Drive on September 8, 2025. Painting of the mural will commence mid- to late September and will be entitled: "Flora and Fauna of Forest Park."

“I would like to thank all the partners who made this possible,” Addabbo said. “Thanks to CEO for prepping the walls and to FDNY Engine/Ladder 294 for cleaning the wall. I look forward to seeing the completed mural, which will enhance the beauty of our community.”
