(Binghamton, NY) – Today, Senator Lea Webb (SD-52) delivered $50,000 to Broome County in support of the Southern Tier Veterans Support Group. This investment will help the organization provide resources and program support to local veterans.
The Southern Tier Veterans Support Group (STVSG), based in the Greater Binghamton area, continues its mission to honor and support those who have served our nation by connecting veterans, service members, and their families with vital local resources. Through strong partnerships with community organizations, STVSG provides access to mental health services, housing assistance, education, and employment opportunities across 14 counties in New York and Pennsylvania.
“I’m proud to have secured $50,000 for the Southern Tier Veterans Support Group to help strengthen their mission of serving those who have served us,” said Senator Lea Webb. “Our veterans and their families have made tremendous sacrifices, and it’s our responsibility to ensure they have access to the resources, care, and opportunities they deserve. This investment will help expand critical programs that support veterans across the Southern Tier.
“We extend our deepest gratitude to Senator Webb for her generous support and commitment to our nation’s heroes,” said Vice President Anthony Pedro. “This funding will make a tremendous difference in helping the Southern Tier Veterans Support Group expand vital programs, provide essential resources, and ensure that local veterans and their families receive the care and assistance they deserve.”
