Senator Helming partnered with the American Red Cross on Monday, August 25, to host a community blood drive at American Legion Canandaigua Post 256. The event was a resounding success, with every appointment filled and more than 50 generous donors rolling up their sleeves to give the gift of life.

“Thank you to everyone who came out to support this blood drive,“ said Senator Helming. “The incredible response was truly inspiring, and I am so proud of how our community came together. While walk-ins could not be accepted due to the overwhelming turnout, I encourage those who weren’t able to donate this time to make an appointment in the coming weeks. Every donation matters, and it could be the difference that saves a life.”

One blood donation has the potential to save up to three lives, making the impact of every participant’s generosity long-lasting and deeply meaningful.
