Senator Helming joined the community of Rush to participate in the annual Rush Volunteer Fire Department Parade, part of the department’s annual carnival and largest fundraiser of the year.
The carnival, held July 24–26 at 1971 Rush Mendon Road, is a longstanding community tradition that brings families together to support the local volunteer fire department.
Senator Helming said, “Thank you to Chief Faigh, President Heidi Sweet, Supervisor Woolaver, and all the dedicated members of the Rush Fire Department for organizing such a well-planned and spirited community celebration. Your hard work and commitment brought neighbors together for a truly memorable parade and event. Our volunteer firefighters give so much of themselves to protect others, and I will always stand with them in support.”
