Senator Brouk statement on sanctuary city policies

In response to local police involvement in a traffic stop involving federal immigration agents, a clear violation of our city's sanctuary policy, I will continue defending our immigrant communities and resisting federal efforts that seek to weaken the bonds that hold us together.

Rochester, NY has been a sanctuary city since 1986. As the daughter of an immigrant and a proud representative of this vibrant Rochester community, the safety, security and health of local families is my top priority.
