State Senator Christopher J. Ryan (SD-50) today highlighted that $50 million has been awarded to Lauter Metal Technologies LLC in Solvay through the Recharge NY program.
This program, administered through the New York Power Authority, has awarded $522 million in private capital investments throughout the state to support 6,364 jobs–399 of which will be newly created. Additionally, allocations totaling over 12 megawatts of low cost power will be administered to 19 firms throughout the state.
“This investment represents a strong vote of confidence in the workforce of Central New York,” said Senator Ryan. “By supporting companies like Lauter Metal Technologies in Solvay, we are creating new good-paying jobs and strengthening a manufacturing base built for the future. Access to low cost power and funding are critical tools, and I am proud to see these resources being leveraged to support innovation, expand opportunity, and deliver real results for our communities.”
The funding awarded to Lauter Metal Technologies LLC will go towards retaining 29 jobs and creating 71 jobs with the company. The New York Power Authority recommends an allocation of 4,186 kilowatts to Lauter Metal Technologies LLC and its facilities.
