State Senator Christopher J. Ryan (SD-50) is proud to honor Rose “Rosie” Anthony with a proclamation on the occasion of her 100th birthday. Rosie has been the sole owner of Rosie’s Tavern in Fulton since 1975 and works everyday as the bartender.

“Small businesses are the cornerstone of New York’s economy,” said Senator Ryan. “Rosie has dedicated over 50 years to her small business and community, putting a smile on the face of countless patrons. It’s incredible that she is still working at 100 years of age, and I’m proud to honor all of her accomplishments.”

Rosie is a lifelong Central New Yorker, and before becoming owner of Rosie’s Tavern, she worked for General Electric in Liverpool. In the 1990s, she served as a Town Councilor in Granby, where she worked tirelessly to lower local tax rates. Rosie turned 100 on February 9, 2026 and was presented with the proclamation by Senator Ryan’s Deputy Chief of Staff Brooke Schneider.
