Senator Ryan Honors Students at 2026 Districtwide Art Show

Today, State Senator Christopher J. Ryan (NY-50) honored 38 student artists representing 12 schools from across his district whose artwork was featured in his Albany and district offices during this legislative session. Each student received a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of their creativity, effort, and contribution to the 2026 Student Art Showcase.

“Each year, student artwork brings color, energy and inspiration into my offices,” said Sen. Ryan. “Art gives young people a powerful way to express themselves, tell their stories, and inspire those around them. I want to thank the teachers, families, and schools who continue to encourage and support arts education in our communities. ”

The Student Art Showcase is part of Sen. Ryan’s ongoing efforts to engage young people and uplift the students in Central New York.

  • Cherry Road Elementary School

The ceremony took place at the Sweet Heart Memorial Building in Phoenix, with the student’s families and teachers in attendance.
