Over the past year, NYS Senator Dean Murray hosted a number of Crime Victims Roundtables that included crime victims, advocates, service providers, district attorneys, and law enforcement. The report attached is a summary of the findings and changes needed to put crime victims first.

Shed the Meds Event

August 8, 2023

NYS Senator Dean Murray recently hosted a "Shed the Meds" event at the Sachem Library with the Suffolk County Sheriff's Department. The free event allowed the public to, safely and properly, dispose of unused and/or expired prescription drugs and over the counter medications. The event resulted in the collection of six large boxes of medication. Thank you to the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office, Sachem Public Libary officials and those individuals who safely disposed of their medication.

South Ocean Middle School Receives New State Flag

On Wednesday, June 14th (Flag Day), Senator Murray presented a new NY State flag that recently flew over our State Capitol in Albany, to Tim Piciullo, the Principal of South Ocean Middle School in Patchogue.
