Far Rockaway, NY — Families from across Southeast Queens were hosted at Father’s Fest 2026, a vibrant community celebration held on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at the Beach 17th Street Amphitheater and Boardwalk in Far Rockaway. The 2nd annual event honored fathers, father figures, and families with an afternoon of music, food, activities, and community connection.

Running from 12:00 PM to 4:30 PM, Father’s Fest brought together hundreds of residents for a day filled with family-friendly vibes, great food, and live entertainment, including a featured performance by the NYPD Jazz Band and special guest DJs. The event was organized by the Office of New York State Senator James Sanders Jr., continuing his long-standing commitment to strengthening families and uplifting the Far Rockaway community.

Father’s Fest is about celebrating the men who anchor our families and our neighborhoods,” said Senator Sanders. “Strong families build strong communities, and today we honor the fathers, grandfathers, uncles, mentors, and father figures who show up every day for the people they love.

The event also highlighted the importance of community outreach, offering resources to support families through our community partners. Residents enjoyed a festive atmosphere with great company, and unforgettable memories, reinforcing the Senator’s mission to create inclusive, joyful spaces for all families in District 10.

Senator Sanders emphasized that Father’s Fest is part of a broader effort to invest in community engagement, family support, and public programming that strengthens Southeast Queens.

When we celebrate fathers, we celebrate stability, love, and leadership. Today is a reminder that our community thrives when we come together.

The Senator thanks local partners, performers, volunteers, and families for making the event a success and reaffirms his commitment to hosting programs that promote unity, wellness, cultural exchange and opportunity for all residents.
