“The Governor’s State of the State offers a hopeful path forward and sets the stage for a productive legislative session. As this is my 18th State of the State, I view each as a starting point for the legislative and budgetary work the state legislator must accomplish with the Governor for the people of my district and state. We will now quickly turn to budget negotiations and my focus will be on delivering responsible investments that reflect the real needs and local concerns of my constituents, supporting working families, protecting essential services, and ensuring that every dollar is used to strengthen the quality of life for residents of Senate District 15 and all New Yorkers.
